Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) is a Federal program that provides healthy meals and snack reimbursement to State registered child development home providers.

Every day, more than 2.6 million children’s nutritional needs are met through CACFP. The program plays a vital role in improving the quality of child care and makes it more affordable for Day Care Providers to purchase nutritious items for meals and snacks.

As a local sponsor of CACFP we provide necessary forms, updated information and training for Day Care Providers. Additionally, we manage and distribute monthly reimbursements for meals and snacks that meet the meal patterns established by the USDA.

Through this program, we are able to provide more than 800 children in day care homes with nutritious food.
